Experimental Fedora packages for Speech Dispatcher, speechd-up and festival-freebsoft-utils

Can someone help with ALSA? I'm trying to install speech dispatcher and
speech-dup. I have festival installed, but when I issue the command for
saying "Hello, hello", I don't get any sound. I have a on-board Realtek
(ac97) sound chip, and from what I can tell with alsamixer, everything
is turned up to max. Also, I am reeeeeally anxious to run Orca. Do I
have to perform a reformat/reinstall when I upgrade to 6, or can I just
upgrade the packages? Any help or answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Guy
P.S. I'm definitely interested in getting a viavoice RPM. How much does
it cost and where can I get it superquick?
