A radically new concept in adapted PDA technology was shown in prototype
during CSUN. Designed from the ground up to serve users who are blind or
visually impaired, the hand-held Icon from Levelstar (a new company in
AT) provides a 20 Gb hard drive, Firefox, email, integrated Book Share
access, calendar, address book, one touch audio recording, and a music
player. When docked a full size keyboard facilitates word processing
tasks. The hand-held device includes WiFi, GSM telephone, GPS, and
BlueTooth.
