Hi Steven
What are the lines I need to add to the .repo file to grab Speakup? Also,
when upgrading, will I still be able to telnet into my Linux box even though
the kernel is upgraded?
Thanks

To: Speakup is a screen review system for Linux.
Subject: RE: Updating to Fedora Core 5
Wil,
A few things to remember when doing the yum approach is:
- Do not skip major versions.
So, you need to go from 3 to 4 and then to 5.
- I believe that the speakup-modified kernels are available through a yum
repository, but you will need to set up the .repo file to grab them.
- the first 2 things to upgrade are the fedora-release and yum packages.
The fedora-release package needs to be upgraded manually using rpm.
Then you do a yum update yum.
Then you can start the upgrade process.
Good luck, and I can be called on if you have questions.
