Add this line to your /etc/apt/sources.list.
deb http://people.debian.org/~shane/speakup/kernel ./
Do an apt-get update and then apt-get install
linux-image-2.6.12-1-speakup-686 and you should be good to go. Let the
list know if you have problems with that kernel and be sure to hang on
to your old kernel incase the new one blows up.
