Hi.
As long as you use Debian's alsa-base package, you don't need to do
anything. Hotplug loads the alsa modules in a 2.6 kernel.
If you have 2 sound cards, and you don't like the order they load, use
an options file in /etc/modprobe.d to force the order you want.
