Hi,
In response to the occasional enquiry re scanning /ocr under the cli, for the records, please take a look at:
http://www.linux-speakup.org:/pub/linux/goodies/xtrclilite*
There are two files that tell you what to do/how to get this ocr package setup and running. It is the best available for text-console use under linux. At least a few of us think so.. It's a commercial package, but so far the company has given us free temporary licences to use it.
