Doubts about speakup.

Dear list,
I would like to install speakup on my fedoracore2 system which I have
already installed.
Before doing I have following questions.
1. will it supports all types of editors like emacs and vi?
2. Can I install on my Fedora core2?
3. will it supports all softwares like oracle 9I which in later part I am
going to install?
4. Can I download the tar file of speakup 1.5 and compile it?
5. I would like to purchase decktalk of fonix software. Which one should I
install first, Speakup or fonix?
