ok now mplayer wants to work

Thanks Chuck for that tip. Actually that was never a problem as far as 
getting it to play as once its going I just pause it as necessary. The 
bigger issue was once I got it to work, keeping it working. For now it 
seems to be working fine accept for the video, but that was more for my 
wife's benefit and just using the -vo null option lets me listen. Of 
course how to find out what the various tracks are such as how to find a 
described track is ssomething I haven't figured out quite yet. I'm sure 
I'll find this bit of info as I continue to muck about with it.
