A pine question

I have recently gotten back into Linux with Speakup in a fairly big way, 
at least as big as you can get with 16 MB of memory, but the improvements 
in 2.0 are wonderful.
Anyway, a few years ago I used to know how to do filterws with separate 
folders in Pine and although I recall how to create the folders, could 
someone please jog my memory about creating filters, or where I can go to 
refresh what I've forgotten?
