contacting dectalk express driver maintainers

While we are talking about the dec express, I have noticed a bug as
well. I have brought this up before, but have not really had a
suggestion as to how to fix it. Allow me to try again, this time adding
a potential fix. If you have numbers and letters mixed together, the
synth will sometimes pronounce only the letters. For example 3com (the
number 3, followed by com) gets pronounced as just com (no number
three). This only happens when I use speakup as far as I can see.

To fix it, what I propose is that if a number appears, followed
immediately by letters, Speakup should send a space to the synth before
sending the letters. So for example, for 3com, the driver would send "3
com" which would cause it to be pronounced right. This would work
regardless of where the letters and numbers appeared in the string, just
add a space where ever there are numbers followed immediately by
letters. That seems to be the only case that causes the problem.
