upgrading a Slackware kernel

Hello Steve,

     Yes, for some reason the CVS downloads are continuously trying to access Linux 2.4.28 instead of the traditional symlink to /usr/src/linux. Were these files modified in some way that they could only be applied to a specific kernel?

     As a side note, I downloaded 2.4.28 just for kicks and the patch still failed.
