Walmart Linux computers

Hi.

One other option is to buy a system without OS from the web. You can
get a complete system for around $400. It will require some research to
make sure the hardware is all supported by Linux, but that is easy to do
on the web.
I bought my last computer this way almost 2 years ago. For my $400 I
got a 1.5G K7 with 512 meg ram 40G hd, monitor, and a cdrw/dvd drive.
The on board sound and network card were supported in Linux, only the
modem might not have been. I say "might not have been", because I
didn't ever try to get it working.

Hope this helps.
