default speakup for Debian Sarge

Don't know the problem but I can say I didn't have that problem with 2.6.11.7 on
debian sarge.  I know 2.6.8 in Debian has patches but I don't know how it
compares to a 2.6.11.  The speakup website did say speakup 2 works on 2.6.10 and
above.
