Gnome error

I never built Gnome-speech to begin with...I'd assume it came in the Slackware-9.1 Gnome series. I already have Festival installed...I've had it for a while. In fact, I ran test-speech and
everything worked fine. So therefore, just upgrade the Gnome series to Slackware-10? Would I also need to upgrade GTK in this case?
