hp4c scanjet scanner, does it work with linux?

Hello,
	If your using the original hp scsi card no way will it work under Linux.
It is totally proprietary to hp and is unfunctional outside of windows.
However, if you get a standard scsi card, ensure it's a 50-pin syntronics
or better yet bring your cable in to where you buy parts and say you need
a card to match this, i use an advansys controller, and it works fine.
	As for OCR software if you find any please let me know.
