fedora, how do you add a user?

Hi folks,
How do you add a user account with fedora?  I tried adduser and user add and I got a usage screen with tons of options.  I did not get a dialog or a prompt to enter the data.  When I did adduser cris, It created a new user called cris, but when I try to login to it, it asks about a password, which i never got to choose.  Can anyone help clarify how this process work?
