speaking of linux nats, anyone know of any router distros that can be
installed and configured either over a serial line or have speakup
compiled in? I played with freesco but it didn't support serial lines
from what I could see and the kernel is too old to support speakup.
should I go with one of these ready-made solutions or start from
scratch? The machine I'm gonna use is probably gonna be an old 486dx
33 or 66.

Can someone point me to howtos or instructions on how to setup a nat or something that will let me share my cable modem connection with the other's on the network. Also, I'd like to play with dhcpd and stuff. Thanks in advanced.

Waving away a cloud of smoke, I look up, and am blinded by a bright, white
light. It's God. No, not Richard Stallman, or Linus Torvalds, but God. In
a booming voice, He says: "THIS IS A SIGN. USE LINUX, THE FREE UNIX SYSTEM
FOR THE 386.
