Changing wpm setting of flite

Hi guys.
I've been using software speech with Speakup for a while and am getting 
use to it.
I figured out how to change the speed setting by modifying the main 
speech-dispatcher config file and setting the speech rate to 100.
How can I make the speech go faster than this setting?
I know with emacspeak I can set the words per minute setting of the synth 
and make it go faster than I currently can now.
Is there a way I can access flite's speed setting directly so I could 
set it to 400 or 425 wpm?
