How do I boot with my synthesiser now that speakup from the sarge iso is installed

At least under Woody, during the install process there's an option on the
menu to modify boot parameters.  Select that option, then enter the
speakup_synth=bns or whatever string into that field.  When you reboot, it
should come up talking.
