Hi all,

This is my first attempt to build Speakup into a 2.6 kernel. I'm
using the RPM build system in Fedora. The version of gcc is 3.3.2, which,
I suspect, is the hangup. I've included the last few messages from the
failure. I hope it's enough.
In file included from drivers/char/speakup/spk_priv.h:33,
                 from drivers/char/speakup/speakup.c:52:
include/asm/io.h:53: error: `currcons' undeclared here (not in a function)
include/asm/io.h:53: error: syntax error before '.' token
include/asm/io.h:53: warning: function declaration isn't a prototype
make[3]: *** [drivers/char/speakup/speakup.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [drivers/char/speakup] Error 2
make[1]: *** [drivers/char] Error 2
make: *** [drivers] Error 2

          TIA.
