softsynth module

Hi Chris:  that is a common complaint.  The softsynth device needs to
be open in non-blocking mode which tail and cat and more etc. do not
do.

You can play with tuxtalk or get the experimental speechd-up module
for speech dispatcher and use flite or festival.  Heavy emphasis on
experimental.
