when i try smbclient -M hostname for example
echo "test message" | smbclient -M host1
which points to 192.168.1.3
/etc/hosts has this pointer.
i get a connection to host1 failed
i tried to use the -l switch providing a log file but it never created one.
according to documentation from the web there should be a log.smbclient
file somewhere on the system and i do not have one anywhere
any other suggestions?
oh, in adition to that, the windows messenging service is in the system
tray and it says not signed in, is that the same service we are talking
about here?
