Hi, assuming you have the Dectalk software installed properly and the
dectalk gnome-speech driver is compiled and installed You can do the
following:

1. Open the gnopernicus window.
2. Press spacebar on preferences.
3. Press Spacebar on speech.
4. Tab to voices and press spacebar.
5. Tab to edit absolute voices and press spacebar.
6. Press the spacebar on the driver combo box, select Fonix Dectalk, and
press enter.
7. Tab to the voice combobox and press spacebar.
8. Arrow to the voice you want, and press enter.
9. Tab to force all voices to driver and selected voice and press enter..
10. Close that Window, tab to apply, and press spacebar.

Now, you should be up and running with the Dectalk software.
