linux pda for the blind

Hi Glen,
I am tired of paying a fortune for everything in the computer world to make
it work for me with speech.  I feel that every blind person should be able
to buy a off the shelf item and put their slection of screen reader software
on it, weather its a store bought voice software or a free download.
