Laptops that Linux likes?

I have a Linksys WPC11, and unfortunately the only drivers available
are binary-only, and they're compiled for 2.4.20 and 2.4.22. Not to
mention that I've experienced random crashes presumably due to things
having to do with object file layout and symbols that I know nothing
about. That and I haven't even gotten DNS queries working with the
thing yet! That could be a configuration error on my end, though...
HTH.

The only issues I've had thus far are that the sound drivers like to downsample audio to half its original resolution, and I am not sure how to get my Linksys WPC11 recognized for wireless access.
