Laptops that Linux likes?

Igor,
I bought this laptop refurbished from Dell Financial Services at the end of December. It only set me back $435, and I've since replaced the battery and purchased a CDRW/DVD combo for the unit. It seems to be able to handle Linux very nicely though, aside from the few things I've noted here.
