gnome-2.4

I'm really interested in getting Gnome installed.  Now that 2.4 has been
released have they made the installation any easier?  If I wait until
Red hat has included it in their release will it be set up at
installation?

Hi all. Do I need the X11 components installed in order to install
gnome-2.4? Such as the Xserver, fonts, base-libs, etc? I'm trying to get
it working so that my girlfriend can use graphics instead of Bash all
the time because its easier for her for the time being.
