Hi
First, have you set up your cdrw drive to emulate scsi? If not, you need to do that first (see cd-writing-howto for details). For cdrdao, you don't specify a /dev 
node. I know the documentation says you can, but it's never worked for me. You use the bus,id,lun scsi syntax. If you're cd writer is already set up, you can 
see what scsi id it has by running:
cdrecord -scanbus
Once you find that ID, use that with cdrdao's --device switch. If your writer is not set up to emulate scsi, that absolutely must be done first. Again, see cd-
writing-howto for details.
