A technical question about Linux

Why does Linux work faster and better than Windows?  Look at all the 
processing that Windows has to do just to do any little thing.  that is 
why they demand so much memory and processing speed.  Bloated for sure.

	I am not so convinced that Linux is faster than DOS but DOS is 
limited by it's memory constraints.
