Folks,

Ok I realize my error. I mistakenly thought thte path to the libraries 
was in the config file, but that was my ears and brain processing what 
it heard incorrectly. I realize that after adding the /usr/local/lib 
path to the ld.so.conf file and running ldconfig, all was perfectly 
fine.
Sorry about that I looked over the config file and realized right off 
what I missed. Silly me!
Sorry for wasting bw on a very simple problem. Maybe I need that other 
cup of coffee afterall.
