converting real audio to mp3

When I used Slackware, adding users was easy. You would just type adduser 
and you would be walked through the process. With Redhat however, when I 
type adduser, it substitutes useradd. I have not been able to add a user 
no matter what command parameters I use. Could a Redhat user give me an 
example of how to add a user?

By the way, sorry for not changing the subject line, I am at work and open 
ssh for Windows is not tracking very well.
