Speakup Bugs

As was pointed out: edit /proc/speakup/characters with nano or the like,
and change the name of any characters you want.
Of course, back up that file in some way (solutions have been listed
here), or it will reset when you reboot.
It is not ideal, but I am using it now, and it does work.
