Speakup Modified Red Hat 9?

Hi all,

Has anyone devised the Speakup Modified Red Hat 9 redistribution?  I'd like
to upgrade one of my boxes from RH 8 to RH 9, but really would like to avoid
having to install the Speakup modified kernel after the fact.
