S B Live question

On my sblive card, there are 2 jacks, on the inside, and one is for
connecting an audio cable from  a CD drive to, and the other is a line out
jack, I believe.  I am hoping someone here knows which one is line in, and
which one is line out.
These jacks have those little prongs inside a little rectangular receptacle,
with an opening on the outside.
I have the cables connected, but I have had no luck with sending the sound
from my video card into the line in.
