Hi gang,
I was encouraged by recent posts on this subject and stopped by
my local cell phone store today to see what they had that might
be useful for me. I have not previously used a cell phone. They
showed me a beautiful little gem that I can use quite well for
common functions: placing a call, answering a call, detecting
whether it is on or off, adjusting volume. It is a little bigger
than a pack of cigarettes (anybody remember cigarettes?) and has
nice big keys, almost chiclet size. It is the Nokia model 5165. I
am sure it has functions that might be problematic for me, but I
am very happy to be able to use it as well as I indicated above.
They charged me $0.99 for the thing, plus of course a two year
contract.
Chuck
