Hi. I have just found something some of you may be interested in. Back when I ran windows there was a chat program for
blind and sight impaired individuals called Accessible Chat that I used to use. Since then, some people from this group
have developed a new chat system for blind/sight impaired people that actually works through telnet, so it doesn't
depend on a specific operating system to run. I have used it and have found it to be very good and easy to use. So now
there is a real accessible chat that all of us can use even if we don't like Windoze or don't want to reboot the
computer to chat. It will work great with both YASR and Speakup. If anyone is interested, just type
telnet magoostreehouse.dune.net 7007
at any command prompt and follow the prompts. I think this will be a great chat community, especially for Linux users,
as we can actually use it and don't get a ton of extra data sent to our screen readers every time someone says something
in the room like we do with some of the IRC clients.
Here's hoping some of you find this useful.
