a distro designed for booting over the network

This seems a pity and given how cheap even a 4Gb would be since
there's no demand for them.  I'm getting a growing pile of spare HD's
here, though they start around the 450Mb and go up to 6Gb.
In the UK, I could drop one in the post....    the US is a little more
problematic.
