daisy reader for gnu/linux, listen-up!

I am unable to get Listen-Up to compile. Here's the story:
In file included from src/DTBControl.cc:25:

src/DTBAudio.h:61: error: syntax error before `*' token
src/DTBAudio.h:62: error: syntax error before `*' token
src/DTBAudio.h:63: error: 'aflibConfig' is used as a type, but is not
defined
as a type.
src/DTBAudio.h:64: error: 'aflibConfig' is used as a type, but is not
defined
as a type.
make: *** [src/DTBControl.o] Error 1
This is on a freshly installed Red Hat Severn system with gcc
3.3.14.
