    I have a question about X windows and/or Gnome.  You don't use it but
maybe you might know.

    What is the easiest way to switch between screen resolution and/or color
depth.  In redhat I used Xconfigurator to select all the resolutions in all
the color depths.  I am able to switch between resolutions with a color
depth but not between color depths.

    Even when I am able to change resolution the screen is virtualized.
That is if the original resolution was 1024X768 then when I switch to
800x600 I have to scroll to see all of the desktop.

      Don't know. Did you try CTRL+ALT+keypad_plus or CTRL+ALT+keypad_MINUS?
I knew this used to change the screen resolution on the fly. Also, when
installing, did you choose all the color depths for your monitor?
      Can't tell you about the Redhat forum. Sorry.

bits.  When I used ctrl + alt + plus the screen changes size but desktop
stays at 1024x768 and I have to scroll.

      Where do you ask your linux questions?  I am looking for the best
