Brltty and Speakup

Hi

Yes I did recently but then shortly after upgraded my motherboard now don't
have access to Linux. <Sigh>  Anyway your question.  No it is really easy,
all you need to do is to grab the nearest tar ball and unpack it and read
the install docs for your display.  All I had to do was to ensure that the
nospeach line was uncommented as well as the line referring to my display in
the makefile.  Then just run the make.


Sorry, I haven't got my installation to double check.  But it is easy.  I
didn't need to ask anyone on the reflector how to do that one.  <Smile>

Has anybody ever tried to run Brltty and Speakup together?  I have a
PowerBraille 80 on my machine and think it would be neat to use it under
Linux.  However, I am not willing to give up the great speech support of
Speakup.  I know that in the Microsoft world of DOS and Windows, there are
plenty of screen readers that have both speech and Braille support, but
they aren't common under Linux.  I am wondering if I can expect conflicts
between Speakup and Brltty.  Speakup uses a Type 'N Speak on /dev/ttyS0
and the PB80 would be on /dev/ttyS1.  Thanks in advance for any
information.
