Hi, I would like to thank everyone for there help and ponder for a sec: When I put vmlinuz speakup-synth=ltlk on the boot prompt things would go so far and stop. Now if I put vmlinuz speakup_synth=ltlk root=/dev/hdb2 it would boot if I reverse the order and put speakup last above it would not boot. strange.
