I really must apologize for my little attitude spirt last night.  
Its just that, some times this computer stuff can really get you down,  especially when questions are asked and no explanation offered. 
Some times I have a tendency to get a little pissed off and even lash out.  
To those I rubbed the wrong way, all I can say is, pay no mind to me, it was nothing personal.

Yes I did receive two pointers to Bill Acker. I am going to pursue them and 
I thanked those 2 gentleman for that information.  
I tried emailing Bill last week but got the usual user on known message.  
Maybe I'll try again or just pick up the land line.  

Once again, I apologize for my attitude.  Its nice to know that cursing is permitted.  <grin>

I would like to have that Slackware 8.0 FTP link again.  
According to a friend of mine, Slackware might be a little easier to configure from a blind perspective.
