Hi Ken:

Work has already begun to hack Rsynth into a fully controlable and decent
quality speech synth.  This project goes under the name tuxtalk.  IIRC, the
synth now recognises the doubletalk command set.  No work has begun on the
actual speech quality yet, which certainly needs it.  Tuxtalk is available
from the linux-speakup.org CVS repository, for anyone who wants to play
with it.
