lost text with accent SA

Hi, I know it wasn't the mail, but thought I'd include that description in
case it would help figure out what was happening.  That message was the
closest I'v come to reproducing the problem.  I've had the problem reading
mail, but using plus to read the screen, or re-opening the message would
read correctly.  Reading by line, word, or char always seems to work.
