speakup on red hat 6.2

I would also make sure that you had the right boot disk for Red Hat 6.2 and
the dectalk. I made the mistake myself when doing a Red Hat install I had
grabbed the wrong Dectalk disk, and it didn't work until I got the right
one.
However, I can assure you in most cases the Dectalk does work under RH 6.2
and RH 7.
