Speakup Failure in 2.4.0 Upgrade

Hi Janina:  The checkout script which was part of the
speakup-0.10.tar.gz tarball won't upgrade to cvs correctly.  There is
a newer checkout which does work in the speakup-0.10a.tar.gz.  I will
also place the newer checkout script on the ftp area.
