Hi Chuck:  Punct is the punctuation level set in the synth itself.
You should be a taf careful if changing that value or you might find
speakup not handling numbers or punctuation the way you are used too.
On the other hand if you know how your synth deals with the different
values you can tweak it.  For example on my double Talk setting that
to fifteen will have it say zeros at the beginning of numbers which I
sometimes find handy.
