my Debian box is less sick, but help

Don't know about the other errors,
but I had this init problem.
It happened when I tried to compile something needed for boot from source.
I think that was glibc, but I'm not sure.
To fix it, I ended up having to boot with color.gz
under slackware, and installing the package from the slackware sight.
