Bug in 2.4 kernels and doubletalk-lt.

Hi guys. INstalled RH 7.1 yesterday on a machine with the 2.4.2 kernel
with a doubletalk-lt synthesizer and for some reason when I try ot
change the rate the controll characters that are used to change the
rate get spoken instead of getting passed along like they should be.
I don't see this behavior in the 2.2 series kernels and I'm using the
latest cvs. Anyone else with this synth have this problem?

Heh makes it hard to use the machine with slow speech.
