redhat 6.2 unresolved module symbols problem

If you are getting unresolved symbols why on earth did you use oldconfig?

I would recomend you download the entire kernel from ftp.kernel.org
getting the latest in the process (v 2.2.17). Then patch in speakup and
configure. The directory to find this is /pub/linux/kernel/v2.2 don't go
for the others as they are in development.
